Authorities have confirmed reports of pirate sightings in Bloody Bay. This news comes following the discovery of a sunken pirate frigate near the shores of the bay just weeks ago. Researchers thought the vessel to be more than 250 years old. However, recent developments have them believing that this ship was actually home to the many pirates now pillaging our cities. It is unknown as to how their ship (or ships) may have arrived, but current theories are that a time portal of either scientific or magical origins is responsible. |
More mysterious is the powers and weaponry that these buccaneers possess. While most of them seem to be confounded by modern technology, several of the pirates have apparently given up their traditional peg-legs and hooked hands and traded them in for cybernetic enhancements! It is unknown as to where or how these operations might have taken place, but it does explain the recent surge in gold coins and jewelry that has flooded the marketplace in recent days. To make matters worse, many of the pirates are now exhibited stunning super powers. |
Longbow operatives were called in to combat the pirate menace on Thursday but their efforts resulted in heavy casualties. |
